Racism 'not behind Islamic school knock-back'

About 200 residents cheered and applauded last night, when the Camden Council voted unanimously against the Quranic Society's development application for a 1,200-student Islamic school on farmland in the town's outskirts.

The council agreed with a report by council planners that suggested the proposal be rejected because of its effect on the environment and traffic flows.

Some protesters left pigs heads draped in the Australian flag at the site last year.

It disgusts me to see a public Office like the Office of the Attorney General Blessed by a catholic priest.

Religion has no place at all in politics in SA.

There seems to be a lot of hostility in this region that has obviously boiled over into a Global issue.

Could it be that some of these problems be inflamed by a local media's biased language in relation to key events.
