Talking about Cameras in cop cars to be considered - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

South Australian police say they will officially consider installing video cameras in patrol cars.

Acting Deputy Commissioner Tony Harrison has told a Budget Estimates hearing in State Parliament that an officer who personally put a camera in a patrol car had breached official policy.

If an officer installs a personal camera that camera is biased and the footage would undoubtably only be archived if it was able to prove the officers innocence in a court matter. If an officer is responsible for keeping their own video footage much footage condemning their actions would be "lost" and unavailable for the courts.

I believe that considering our ridiculous School Zone laws and other such biased laws Cameras on police cars would be a good idea as long as they are constantly recording, archived properly and available to the courts at all times.
