I am not surprised at all by Exorcisms being performed in the lutheran church but that is not the worst thing in the story.

This is the church who refused to move a minister that was telling the children of second marriages that they were damned and never able to go to heaven which is obviously upsetting to the 10 year olds and younger that were singled out for this.

The group that also believes that speaking in tongues is a good thing and that as soon as the minister prays to a cup of wine it literally becomes blood.

The Advertiser has learnt that Senior Constable Roger Sketchley was charged over the alleged incident at a camp run by the Lutheran Church, which yesterday said it did not condone such actions.

They do in fact endorse exorcisms and will only deny this in the face of public criticism.

I would think he South Australian Government would be able to hire people with the ability to think in a rational but instead hired a  religious zealot like this fool.

This is hardly a major weapons cache from a Bikie Group of the type the Govt leads us to believe the Gypsy Jokers are.

I had to have a bit of a chuckle seeing the antiques in the bottom left corner.

Will we see bikies riding down the road pouring their powder and shot into the muzzle.

I am not sure about SA but it would seem that the vintage of the two aforementioned muzzle loading firearms would mean they can be owned without any license at all in some states of Australia. If this is the case I am sure they will be returned to the owner but for now they help the officers who seized the Antiques, …oops… ,weapons look like they have found a sizeable cache.

It would seem ,by the photo, that the individual involved may be more of an avid collector than a dangerous weapon hoarder.

The Government should be more concerned about “Organised Crime Groups” rather than Bikies, although it is easier to see Bikies so it is much easier to look like they are doing something for the community.

Remember that all OCG members are doing bad things but not all bikies are involved in organised crime so it would seem more useful to chase OCG’s rather than social club members. Unless the politicians involved in the scaremongering are also involved with OCG’s or they are planning on disrupting your *club next.

*could be sporting, social, sexuality, religious.

Police face sacking over sex change disclosure

I was not surprised but disgusted when I read this article.

These officers actions were not only illegal but also a form of torture and it is hard to image that those involved did not have a reasonable idea that they were putting Brigitte Fell’s life in danger.

Garrick Jacobson was a suspect in a “theft and Assault” case when he was tortured by these officers in such a way that it should be looked at as a commissioning of the assault that took place after their actions.

Officers Brendan Ritson and Tyrone Stacey should not only be sacked but also imprisoned for what they have done to these two people.

These two officers are pleading stupidity.

The court heard that Jacobson, who had been arrested for suspected theft and assault, told Stacey he had a girlfriend named Brigitte Fell.
“I asked him if that was the transvestite Brigitte Fell,” Stacey allegedly said.
“He asked me what I meant, and I realised that I’d make a mistake in telling him the information about Fell.”

Some places are reporting the officer’s comment as “You’re rooting a bloke!”

Magistrate Glenn Bartley sentenced both officers to 125 hours of community service saying their lack of remorse made the likelihood of their reoffending ``unclear''

``The offenders were trusted law enforcement officers ... to this day they have not shown even the slightest contrition or remorse.''

They still seem to be holding their positions in the police force.

Can members of the public trust the confidentiality of any information available to the  NSW police force while these fools are still there?

There seem to be some people who can never be pleased like Lynette Watson who could only whinge after being offered help as a victim of homelessness during Victorias fires which as she puts it makes her the worst case of charity rorter.

There are others who seem to think they should be treated as royalty after being affected by the bushfires but really should be thankful for any assistance they receive.

The assistance needed by all of the victims is funeral assistance, short term income support while businesses are being rebuilt and temporary accommodation while houses are being rebuilt.

I feel that accommodation should be temporary and where people have been given resources from other people in need those resources should be passed back to the areas they are needed quickly as possible. Caravans for poor people to live in have been diverted to some fire victims as well as other items and a lot of cash have been taken from stretched systems where people in need now have to wait.

I am sure that most people from fire affected areas just want to get on with rebuilding their lives. We see many places where the population are doing their best trying to put their lives together and would agree that the people who are trying to profit from the fires are disgusting.

The government must help these people but must do it without diverting funds from programs for the most disadvantaged people in society, maybe by diverting funds from people who are working that will be given almost a thousand dollars each in the economic stimulus package.

It seems that the Atheists Foundation of Australia was planning an advertising campaign for the new year but was not allowed to advertise through Australia's biggest outdoor advertising company, APN Outdoor.

Atheist Foundation president David Nicholls talked to ABC Radio Nationals Religion Report about it.

Mr Nicholls suggests it is a bit much to knock back a slogan questioning God, when a group which does believe in God has been allowed to run its advertising.

"In Adelaide I believe, in the recent past, the APN buses had all across the back of a bus, or some buses, the message 'John 3:16', which is the most famous biblical passage, that God so loved the world that he gave his only son da da da," he said.

Survey highlights mental stress of policing

The survey by the University of South Australia also shows another 11 per cent are heading towards psychological harm.

I had a feeling this mioght be an issue since I had a run in with an off duty police officer whom was scared by my car making a little fanbelt noise then decided to try bullying me and eventually assaulted me.

This issue is currently being dealt with so the headline from this story was no surprise given the officers behaviour.

What a way to end a day at the races, being bitten by a snake while being involved in a fashion parade. I wonder if this was some sort of critique of the judges taste by the snake.

Senior Constable Michael Redding had a bad day at work and gets to go home to his family while Chris Wilson does not.

If you or I was negligent at work and the result of that was someone's death we wouldn’t just be reprimanded by our company, we would have to explain our actions to the public through a court hearing. Why is it that Redding only had to explain his actions to a Police Disciplinary Tribunal and not the public.

Furthermore why did it take 4 years for this to come to a conclusion?

The people of South Australia and all states should expect our police to be held accountable for their actions or lack of.

The South Australian Opposition says the State Government should have done more to prevent state budget losses caused by the US financial crisis.

The thing that is almost amusing is that this cost SA around $1000,000,000 at the time the State Govt was ripping $100,000,000 out of workcover.

Its a shame to see the state political party that  used to pride itself on looking after the worker punishing workers if they have a long term injury from work, while allowing the states money go down the drain overseas like this.

With all the talk of Iran and nuclear weapons I thought I should remind people of a few things.
